Rolly Calma

Python developer · AI automation · finance tooling

I build small, tested, deployed tools end-to-end — and you can try every one below live, right now.

Self-taught developer with a finance/accounting background (NetSuite, Excel). Based in the Philippines · open to remote junior Python / AI-automation roles and project work.

Website QA Auditor

Paste any URL → instant SEO / accessibility / mobile / social health check, scored A–F, with a client-ready report.

Problem: small businesses lose search traffic and trust to invisible technical issues. Built: a zero-dependency Python engine + web front-end that audits a page in seconds. Result: used it to find real issues on live sites and turn them into client outreach.

Mini-RAG — chat with your document

Paste a document, ask a question → it retrieves the most relevant passages (TF-IDF + cosine), the core of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, in pure Python.

Problem: RAG is the backbone of useful LLM apps but is usually buried under heavy frameworks. Built: the retrieval pipeline from scratch — chunking, indexing, ranking — with an optional grounded-answer step. Result: a clear, dependency-free demonstration of how retrieval actually works.

AR/AP Autopilot

Automated accounts-receivable & payable for small accounting firms — invoice↔payment matching, AR aging, drafted collection emails, duplicate-bill detection — from a CSV export.

Problem: small firms burn hours chasing receivables and re-checking supplier bills by hand. Built: a Python engine with live Xero + QuickBooks connectors, a forgiving CSV loader, and a dashboard. Result: packaged as a concierge service and taken to real firms (this is where my finance background compounds with code).

About

I came to programming from accounting, so I build for the boring, high-value problems — reconciliation, reporting, automation — and I finish things: every project above is tested and runnable, not a half-built demo. I work the way a small team needs: read the requirement, build the smallest thing that solves it, verify it works, ship it. Comfortable with Python, web front-ends, APIs over scraping, LLM/RAG tooling, and AI coding workflows.
